About us

The Hellma Group, based in Müllheim, Germany, is a leading manufacturer of precision optical products made from glass, quartz, and optical crystals, as well as an independent provider of integrated solutions for optical analysis. More than 400 people across four production sites work daily to ensure the best possible service for customers in industry and research. For over 100 years, Hellma has been a leading global supplier of cuvettes for UV|Vis|NIR spectroscopy in laboratory analysis. The company is now also recognized as a specialist in process analysis technology solutions for a wide range of applications in research and industry. Process Analytical Technologies (PAT) probes and measuring cells help you monitor your production and quality control, and improve your plant's performance. The key to success lies in a precise and robust spectroscopic interface, achieved through optical immersion probes or measuring cells. Spectroscopy allows users to measure defined ingredients directly on-site, both qualitatively and quantitatively. Hellma probes can be integrated directly into reactors and vessels. Hellma flow cells can be integrated directly into the product flow. By choosing the appropriate measurement method and materials, you can tailor the probes or flow cells to your specific needs. Increase the performance and productivity of your processes with probes and flow cells from Hellma Analytics! Process analytical technology (PAT) is particularly well-suited for the direct monitoring of chemical reactions and the quality assurance of intermediate finished products in chemical production plants. PAT can be used at every stage of the production cycle. Information about the various processes can be transmitted over long distances directly from a vessel or branch using optical fibers. In this way, information can be analyzed remotely, regardless of extreme environmental process conditions, such as high pressures or temperatures. For continuous, real-time information, special immersion probes and measuring cells for extreme conditions are available. Using PAT enables optimized, long-term process management and control. Other advantages include: reduced production lead times, reduced energy consumption, improved product quality, higher yields and fewer by-products, increased process safety, better process understanding – accelerating your process analyses, reduced costs, real-time reaction analysis, and quick and flexible operation. Benefits include: the widest range of optical immersion probes and measuring cells, complete solutions on request, solutions for UV/Vis/NIR/IR/Raman, numerous sealing technologies, even for extreme conditions, and various interfaces for connection to instruments from leading manufacturers. PAT technology operates efficiently and reduces costs sustainably, as demonstrated by lifecycle cost calculations. The return on investment is often only 2 to 3 years! Hellma Analytics Cuvettes is the world's leading manufacturer of UV/Vis absorption and fluorescence cuvettes/cells used in analytical technology instruments and systems. In addition to our extensive range of standard products, we also manufacture custom products to our customers' specifications. These OEM products, produced in series, are often part of the initial setup for major manufacturers. You will find all models, including those for magnetic stirring, anaerobic work, high and low temperature, circulation, dye lasers, diffuse light, dissolution testing, and more. For these cuvettes, you can choose the material (transmission from 200 to 3500 nm), the optical path length (from 0.001 to 100 mm), and the volume (from 5 µl to 100 cl and more). Some cuvettes can be supplied matched, with anti-reflective coatings, mirrored surfaces, or even sorted for polarimetry measurements. Reference Materials: Calibration Standards. Hellma Analytics calibration standards for UV/Vis spectrophotometry meet internationally recognized standards (Ph. Eur., USP, DAB, GLP, DIN ISO 9001, etc.) and form the basis for safe and reliable measurement results. Choose from a wide range of glass filters, liquid filters, and filter sets to verify your UV/Vis spectrophotometer according to the following parameters: Wavelength accuracy, Photometric accuracy (absorbance), Photometric linearity, Stray light, Spectral resolution. Microvolume analysis with the TrayCell 2.0. The Hellma TrayCell 2.0 is an ultra-micro fiber optic measurement cell for UV/Vis microvolume analysis (0.7–10 µl). It is designed to measure samples such as DNA/RNA or proteins with exceptional reproducibility. The TrayCell 2.0's dimensions are equivalent to those of a standard cuvette, making it compatible with most spectrophotometers. High technology on a very small scale: that's what TrayCell 2.0 offers. Easy to handle: TrayCell 2.0 always remains in the cell holder. Excellent reproducibility of measurement results. Suitable for almost all standard UV/Vis spectrometers. For sample volumes from 0.7 μl to 10 μl. Also suitable for samples with low surface tension. Different path lengths thanks to interchangeable covers. Accurate, long-term measurement results without monitoring and maintenance costs. Applications: Determination of protein purity and concentration; DNA/RNA purity and quantification; all spectrophotometric measurements of microvolumes (0.7 μl–10 μl) in the UV/Vis range.
