Polyborazylene

Polyborazylene is a fine powder and an oligomer derived from borazine by dehydrogenation and polymerisation. It has molecular structure that lies between monomeric borazine and the final polymeric structure of hexagonal boron nitride. Its molecular structure and physical properties depend on the degree of polymerisation, particularly the reaction temperature and duration. It acts as a pre-ceramic polymer precursor – you can shape it (grind, disperse, coat) and heat it to convert it to boron-nitride rich material.
