Core Tasks and Responsibilities

Advising Management: Provide expert guidance on the safe transport, classification, packaging, labelling, and placarding of hazardous materials in compliance with ADR/RID regulations

Monitoring Compliance: Inspect and audit operational procedures to ensure the business follows all legal requirements governing dangerous goods.

Annual Reports: Prepare a comprehensive annual report detailing the company's dangerous goods activities, which must be kept on record for at least 5 years and provided to national authorities upon request.

Incident Investigation: Investigate any accidents, serious safety infringements, or emergencies during operations and write detailed follow-up reports.

Emergency Procedures: Assist with the implementation of emergency action plans and report reportable accidents to the Department for Transport (DfT) or relevant authorities.

Staff Training Monitoring: Oversee the training and instruction of personnel involved in handling or transporting dangerous goods and ensure training records are maintained for a minimum of 6 years.
